Hello. This is Sarah, Brent's girlfriend. I've been avoiding to write this journal. But it is time to let Brent's fellow deviants know that Brent died on October 10. My whole life is upside down. Brent has pushed his art so much this past year. With every upset came a victory.
He loved this site. I think he wanted to be more involved, but he was always so busy. Recently he got permission from GFRIEDBERG and SITAMAE for two sepreate nude photos so he could paint them for a show in November. He had been researching this since last years show. He looked everywhere and even had a photo shoot with a model, but in the end it wasn't what he was looking for. I remember how excited he was when he found and got permission to use the photos. The finished product was "Adam and Eve."
I didn't expect what I saw when he showed me, and it was not until later that i realised what the paintings really were about. He asked me what he should name them, he had asked me on other paintings, and I never put much thought into it, i just blurted out "Adam and Eve." I didn't know he chose this name until a friend asked me about them by name.
His family and friends that he left behind are going through all the ranges of emmotions. It's sad, I never knew how many people in Fresno were fond of Brent and his art. I didn't want to find out this way.
DA was a haven for Brent.
